SGESCO-MAX joins WMRR

SGESCO-MAX is pleased to announce we have joined WMRR.

The Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) is the only national peak body for the $15bn waste and resource recovery industry.  Its membership spans the entire industry covering landfill, recycling and resource recovery, energy from waste, e-waste, organics, construction and demolition, commercial and industrial, hazardous and biohazardous waste sectors. Members come from large multinational corporations, SMEs, local and state governments, equipment and service providers, and individuals.

SGESCO-MAX has worked closely with the waste management industry for over two decades providing innovative safety solutions for companies like SUEZ, Cleanaway, Transurban, and JJ Richards, as well as local councils and their waste management departments.

As an equipment supplier to the waste management sector our involvement has driven our creation of world-class heavy vehicle safety solutions in the areas of anti-rollaway, reversing sensors and more recently blind spot monitoring.

COMMON SAFETY VISION

Waste Management and Resource Recovery has six Guiding Principles, one of them being: The environment and community is protected through the safe and responsible management of wastes.

“We are strongly aligned with this principle as our safety solutions are geared to help the community as well as waste management personnel,” said Scott McPherson, Managing Director of SGESCO-MAX.

“We’re excited to become a member of the WMRR to help us gain greater knowledge of the waste industry and understand the safety challenges that company’s face undertaking collections.”

“With a greater call to follow a circular economy model and manage all recycling onshore, the waste management industry continues to face challenges as it evolves. We will continue to work with the sector in providing heavy vehicle safety solutions and pioneering new and more advanced offerings,” Scott said.
