MAX-SAFE Vision solutions assist operators drive safely when moving in any direction on roads and work sites.
MAX-SAFE Vision components include various cameras, screens and recording technologies, all of which can be tailored to provide an accurate view of any situation.

HOW IT WORKS
A mounted camera scans the incoming image to determine if it recognises a person – either moving or stationery – within a defined danger zone, (which is configurable). It does this by processing the image via an AI chip within the camera.
On detection, the system reacts instantaneously by triggering a range of options as highlighted in the table below.

A recordable monitor can be added (not mandatory) across any of the options to provide the driver with vision of what the camera is seeing (with the danger zone outlined) – while capturing video for later retrieval.

WHY IS THIS SOLUTION NEEDED?
Our Vision Solutions assist drivers to move forward, turn corners, change lanes and reverse more safely and with certainty.
Heavy vehicles make up around 3% of the vehicles on Australian and New Zealand roads, yet are involved in around 16% of fatal road crashes. Across the region, pedestrians, cyclists and motor cyclists (VRUs) account for around 1 in 3 road deaths.
Blind spots are a major factor for many heavy vehicle crashes, masking up to 40% of visibility on some vehicles. These blind spots are major risks to VRUs, site workers and the general public. In fact, two-thirds of pedestrians killed on the road each year are killed by vehicles doing less than 60 km/hr. (2018 figures).
With more VRUs on shared roads in our cities along with more heavy vehicles due to construction projects and T&L it’s important that heavy vehicles have advanced and affordable pedestrian protection solutions.
Being able to detect VRUs keeps our roads and communities safer while saving all parties the physical, emotional and financial toll resulting from injuries and fatalities.
