RPM CONTROL
OPTIMAL, COST-EFFECTIVE IDLE AND PUMP CONTROL
RPM CONTROLS ARE ALL ABOUT PROTECTING COMBUSTION ENGINES IN MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC VEHICLES FROM DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF OVER REVVING (OR GOING OVERSPEED) – LIKELY TO CAUSE VALVE OR PISTON DAMAGE, AND ULTIMATELY CREATING AN UNSAFE SITUATION.
Some vehicles come with RPM Control units – often referred to as ‘rev limiters’ – pre-fitted to restrict their maximum rotational speed.
However, what is often needed is RPM Controls designed around the safe operation of a vehicle when it is parked and the motor is driving a key action, such as a concrete truck mixer, or a pump for various liquids, such as fuel or water (in the case of a fire engines, for example.)
A rev limiter, like our MAX-SAFE RPM Engine Control™, is an aftermarket rev limiter to control the RPM of vehicles according to a custom setting.
It protects an engine by restricting its maximum rotational speed (typically when in park, idle, or pump mode) to an optimal pre-set amount where optimal performance is based on certain flow rates, pressure, and/or temperatures. Importantly, it prevents a vehicle from stalling when in idle (by ensuring a required amount of air intake into the engine) and thus prevents the pump from cutting out – or it ensures a cement bowl keeps turning.
By ensuring a minimum and constant flow, thereby stopping engine and pump surges, this technology safeguards motors and machinery, ensuring longer life of equipment and lower consumption of fuel.
RPM Controls can be set to different speed settings in line with different operations that a vehicle and its machinery may need to perform.
OUR RPM CONTROL SOLUTION:
-
MAX-SAFE ENGINE RPM CONTROL™
The MAX-SAFE RPM Engine Control is a powerful and versatile solution that can control the revving of a variety of engines according to their specific application. By reliably limiting the revs of an engine to a pre-set level, it frees a driver up to work safely outside their vehicle when managing cement pouring, using a water hose and more.
