Our eco-system is a complete and active holistic solution that is being progressively improved by advances in technology – radars, sensors, AI Cameras, as well as advances in software and screen integration.

The MAX-SAFE Safety Eco-System™ aims to provide a complete 360-degree oversight of all sides of a vehicle, as well as any person or object within this extended field of vision, and actively brake the vehicle in certain applications to prevent accidents or warn people in a danger zone, so they too can react to protect their safety.

It also includes integration with leading In-vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) to manage and improve driver safety and develop a stronger safety culture. When integrated with fleet management offerings, our MAX-SAFE Safety Eco-System™ provides fleet managers with unparalleled oversight of their vehicles and drivers, and the most effective means to prevent accidents and deliver on safety goals.

3 Key Development Goals

At SGESCO-MAX we are constantly looking at how we can evolve the MAX-SAFE Safety Eco-System™ to make it even more reliable and robust. Currently we are working towards four design goals.

SIMPLICITY

Truck drivers can have up to five safety screens in their cabin to monitor various safety aspects and angles for their vehicles. Being able to pull all this together into one screen sitting on the A pillar will ensure drivers will be able to pay more attention to the direction they are driving, while still being aware of any hazards.

EDUCATION

While our system relies on smart technology, there is naturally still human elements involved. Integral to the eco-system’s effectiveness is ensuring that all drivers are suitably trained in the operation of our safety solutions. We are developing engaging online training programs so that all drivers can be fully credited in the MAX-SAFE Safety Eco-System™.

INTEGRATION

Integration with key driver behaviour and fleet management software through GPS enables Safety and Fleet Managers back in head offices to have almost instant access to the safety environment surrounding their vehicles while stationary and in transit. This will help them identify trends in risk and work with us to build even better safety systems.

Fluctuating Speed Limits

One of the biggest challenges that heavy vehicle drivers face is the rapidly changing speed zones that exist in urban and regional areas. For example, within a few short kilometres, freight drivers can move from a 40km zone to a 50km zone, then to 60km, to 80km, to 90km, and then to 100 and 110km zones.

Speed-Perception

Australian research has found that vehicle design improvements have reduced vibrations in truck cabins and masked engine and external noise, and, because of this, drivers have become insulated, affecting their perception of speeding. This has led to some drivers reporting they were unaware that they were speeding.

Customisation

SGESCO-MAX offers adaptable speed control through eight pre-set options. Its versatility extends to diverse work environments, allowing for the enforcement of specific speed limits in locations such as mines and industrial sites.
