Delivers Unparalleled Heavy Vehicle Fleet Management Safety Solution
SGESCO-MAX is pleased to announce it has formalised a partnership with MiX Telematics (MiX), a leading global provider of fleet and mobile asset management solutions, enabling both companies to offer clients their respective solutions to deliver an integrated and unmatched whole of fleet eco-system safety solution.
Founded in South Africa in 1996, MiX Telematics services clients in over 120 countries with an Australasian head office in Perth and offices and dealers in other states including Queensland where SGESCO-MAX is headquartered.
MiX’s offerings include in-vehicle monitoring systems and fleet management software solutions for fleets of all sizes. They partner with global customers who are focussed on achieving and maintaining the highest levels of safety, efficiency, compliance and security.
The company has a proven track record in several industries including oil and gas and the minerals and resources sectors. SGESCO-MAX complements this by being strong in the waste management, utilities, logistics, road construction and emergency services sectors. The partnership will provide new ways for Australasian companies to improve safety of people, heavy vehicles, and property with best of breed technologies integrated in the most advanced and holistic system available, said Scott McPherson, Managing Director of SGESCO-MAX.
As part of the partnership, SGESCO-MAX will be licensed to install and integrate two key MiX offerings – their Driver Behaviour™ Solution and their Fleet Management Solutions (MiX Fleet Manager Premium ™ and MiX Fleet Manager Essential™). This will boost the magnitude of the MAX-SAFE Safety Eco-System™ – a growing suite of inter-related intelligent safety solutions providing a 360-degree safety net around a vehicle.
According to Scott, SGESCO-MAX will focus initially on integrating these solutions with the MAX-SAFE Speed Limiting Solution™ and MAX-SAFE Anti-Rollaway Brake System™.
Companies that have the MAX-SAFE Safety Eco-System installed (or elements thereof) along with the MiX’s driver behaviour and fleet management software will be able to identify where a MAX-SAFE safety solution prevented an accident, near misses, drivers who need more coaching, high-risk sites and high-risk vehicles – and thus be able to improve planning and management of safety within their fleets.
SHARED SAFETY VISION
Scott said SGESCO-MAX was very excited to be working more closely with MiX Telematics. “Both companies have a long history in providing best of breed safety solutions for heavy vehicles and a shared vision of what a modern end-to-end safety solution delivers. In 2022 we have evolved to such a point that our solutions can add tremendous value to each other’s offerings – and more importantly to the safety eco-system that progressive companies are wanting to adopt.”
Brodie Von Berg, Managing Director, MiX Telematics Middle East & Australasia stated, “I am thrilled that SGESCO is joining MiX as a Channel Partner serving our Australian market. They have been a leader in providing safety solutions that help to solve their customers problems across various industries and their commitment to road safety aligns with our purpose here at MiX. We look forward to working together in making fleets safer across the country”
Scott added, “The integration of SGESCO-MAX’s safety solutions with MiX Telematics offerings will enable fleet managers to lead with better safety management thereby protecting people, their safety record and their assets.”
